Palmanova, December 11 – Today 843 new infections have been detected in Friuli Venezia Giulia (10 percent of the 8,432 swabs performed) and for the second consecutive day there is a decrease in hospitalizations (644) in the wards of ordinary hospitals. In addition, there were 20 deaths from Covid-19 (-13 compared to yesterday), to which are added three previous deaths related to the period from December 8 to 9.
This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.
People who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the start of the pandemic amounted to a total of 38,632, of which: 8,636 in Trieste, 16,996 in Udine, 7,836 in Pordenone and 4,686 in Gorizia, in addition to 478 people from outside of the region.
The current cases of infection are 14,755. 63 patients are being treated in intensive care and 644 hospitalized in other departments. The total deaths amounted to 1,187, with the following territorial subdivision: 381 in Trieste, 494 in Udine, 243 in Pordenone and 69 in Gorizia.
