It has been 11 months and a few days since the 2019 financial year ended but this ranking takes us to an era much further away than the calendar might suggest, an era without Covid. 2019 in 2018 sees slightly higher or stable revenue for most of the companies in the ranking. A distant world compared to the economic analyzes of this pandemic period, with the minus sign dominating against estimates and forecasts.

The presentation of the ranking was held today by audio-videoconference. The “virtual” honors were given by the engineer Francesco Merloni, president of the Aristide Merloni Foundation, while the elaboration and representation of the ranking was in charge of the professor Donato Iacobucci. PROVINCE DATA – The Fin project Spa ranks first in the province with a growth of 12.9% and sales of almost 229 million, last year it ranked second. Second the Lubricant Industrie Srl, which rises one position compared to 2019. It is no longer present in the top positions iGuzzini Illuminazione Spa (last year was the first in the province) after the acquisition by the Swedish lighting group Fagerhult (in 2019 the data of the ordinary financial statements are shown while in the previous years the data related to the consolidated financial statements). The top 5 companies in the province by turnover (Finproject, Lube, Pigini, Poltrona Frau, RemaTarlazzi) all registered an increase in volumes, while the Recanati iGuzzini Illuminazione and Clementoni pair are in seventh and eighth place respectively, behind 6 Tour Srl of Camerino (Tour Operator).
REGION DATA – TopAriston Thermo Spa (+ 5.7%), the only company in the Marche region with a turnover of more than one billion euros. Tod’s it is still above 900 million but with a slight decrease (-2.6%). Great growth for Conad Adriatic (+ 20.9%) e Renco Group (+ 29.6% on a consolidated basis). Highlight the performance of ACRAF Spa (Grupo Angelini – Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals), which holds the record of net profitability with 118 million euros, equivalent to 18% of the turnover.
At the aggregate manufacturing level, considering the public budgets of around 700 companies, sales growth goes from + 4.9% in 2018 over 2017 to + 1.4% in 2019 over 2018. The same trend is also evident from national level according to Mediobanca Surveys. The same sample shows an almost similar growth in the level of employees (+ 1.6%), while the published data shows a greater increase in the cost of employees (+ 2.9%) compared to that found in the number of employees. In 2019, however, a slight drop in profitability was observed. At a general level, there is also a strengthening of the equity and financial situation of the main companies in the ranking. According to the Foundation’s analysis, there are two reasons: on the one hand, the significant process of selection of companies in the last decade, and on the other, the profitability used more for strengthening capital than for investments, given the persistent climate of uncertainty over national markets. and international.
