Weather: SNOW, NOT OVER! It will arrive AGAIN to LOW ALTITUDE. Forecasts for the next few days
Snow, it’s not over. A new load is coming and not just in the mountainsIn recent days real storms of Name they literally submerged the Alps and part of the Apennines. And that’s not all! In fact, it will continue to reach even at low altitudes.
Let’s take stock of the situation by analyzing the forecasts by and next days.
For many years there has not been so much snow in the month of December in the Alps, just think that above 1500 meters of altitude 2 meters accumulation. Spectacular in this sense are the images that come to us from the main mountain resorts, in particular Trentino Alto Adige and of Lombardy. Unfortunately, thehigh risk of avalanches, especially in the central-eastern alpine sectors.
In the next few hours we still hope Nevada in Apennines south-central with flakes up around i 900/1000 meters to share between Tuscany, Umbria, Market me Lazio. Instead, we will have higher snow altitudes (about 1200 meters), due to the currents from the southwest, until Campania me Calabria.
During Friday 11 a new disturbance coming down from the North Atlantic it will enter Italy bringing more snowfall starting from the northwest sectors. At the moment, the areas most seem to be the Piedmont, the Aosta Valley and the Lombardy western, with snowfall in places like Sestriere (TO), Breuil-Cervinia (TO), Madesimo (SO) e Livigno (SO). Be careful because the flakes will not only descend on the mountainous areas, but will push up to about 5/700 meters altitude (and locally lower), probably also bleaching cities like Cuneo, Biella me Sondrio.
