The curve of new infections registered today in Sicily suffers a downward decline: there are 753 new positives, but the number of swabs performed also drops, stopping at 7,013. There are 34 new deaths and 1,627 recovered. There are no new hospitalizations under the ordinary regime and those in intensive care are reduced by one unit: 198 places are occupied by covid patients, about 24% of those available (808). The subdivision of the new positives in the Sicilian provinces is as follows: Catania remains the most affected province with 347 new infections, followed by Palermo with 212 new cases. These are followed by Ragusa 66, Messina 38, Caltanissetta 37, Syracuse 26, Enna 10, Agrigento 9, Trapani 8. Overall, the number of “currently positive” people continues to decline, reaching 38,647, while 37,075 people remain in home isolation.
