Puglia will be able to use 11 storage centers for anti-life vaccines that arrive in January: this is the Pfizer-BioNTech product, recently administered in Great Britain and hoping to obtain, in a few days, administration authorizations also in the United States and in the European Union .
The storage facilities will allow the vaccine to be stored at -80 degrees, as necessary to avoid rendering the product unusable. In Bari, in particular, there is the Polyclinic that has 5 refrigerators that reach those temperatures. Therefore, the Bari hospital could become a regional center.
It is expected that in the first ’round’ there may be 450 thousand people to be vaccinated, including health and social workers, guests and RSA staff, people over 80 years old, or the categories that will be vaccinated first in Italy. Two doses, 21 days apart, will be needed to complete prophylaxis.
