The European Medicines Agency (EMA) denounced today, December 9, being the victim of a cyber attack. “The Agency has promptly launched a full investigation, in close cooperation with the police and other competent bodies,” a statement read. “The EMA cannot provide further details while the investigation is ongoing. More information will be available in due course. ‘ Currently, the EMA, which is based in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, has to deliberate on the authorizations of several vaccines against Covid-19.
The pharmaceutical company Pfizer has announced that documents related to the anti-Covid vaccine have been stolen from the archives of the EMA: “It is important to underline – explains Pfizer – that neither the BioNtech nor the Pfizer system have been violated in relation to this incident and that we are not aware of the personal data that had been violated ”.
