1,079 more cases than yesterday in Emilia-Romagna and 257 in Bologna out of a total of 10,483 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs performed is 10.3%. The average age of new positives today is 45.1 years. Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, 138,348 cases of positivity have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna.

The decrease in infections measured every 5 days has been confirmed: there were 9,220 from December 2 to 6, compared to 9,686 from November 27 to December 1 and 11,791 from November 22 to 26.
Infections in Emilia-Romagna
Of the newly infected, 677 are asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 184 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 354 were identified within known foci.
Of 677 asymptomatic patients, 382 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 64 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 4 with serological tests, 14 through prehospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 213 cases.
These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 13,395 in Piacenza (+50 compared to yesterday, of which 13 symptomatic), 11,336 in Parma (+76, of which 36 symptomatic), 19,645 in Reggio Emilia (+171, of which 23 symptomatic), 25,356 in Modena (+96, of which 58 symptomatic), 26,969 in Bologna (+275, of which 119 symptomatic), 4,189 cases in Imola (+40, of which 9 symptomatic), 6,922 in Ferrara (+49, of which 8 symptomatic), 9,564 in Ravenna (+190, of which 69 symptomatic), 4,926 in Forlì (+30, of which 21 symptomatic), 4,465 in Cesena (+22, of which 18 symptomatic) and 11,581 in Rimini (+80, of which 28 symptomatic).
After verifying the data reported in recent days, 1 case was eliminated (in Bologna) for not being considered Covid-19.
Infections in Bologna
275 cases in the Bolognese area: 119 swabs for the presence of symptoms, 18 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 1 through the serological test, 3 through the test for the higher risk categories, 1 through the pre -test – hospitalization, while for 133 new positives the epidemiological investigation is still ongoing.
Among the 275 new infections, 236 are sporadic and 39 are inserted into family outbreaks. Finally, cases are not imported from outside the region or abroad.
And contagion its territory
The situation of infections in the provinces: Ravenna (190), Reggio Emilia (171), Modena (96), Rimini (80). Then Parma (76), Piacenza (50), Ferrara (49), the territory of Imola (40), Forlì (30) and finally Cesena (22).
Tampons, active cases and cures
In the last 24 hours, 10,483 swabs were made, for a total of 2,259,395. To these are added 1,193 serological tests and 457 quick swabs performed yesterday.
As for the total of people cured, they are 1,711 more than yesterday and reach 66,191.
Active cases, that is, actual patients, are currently 65,843 (-678 compared to yesterday). Of these, people isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, are 62,753 (-753) in total, 95.3% of all active cases.
After about a month, the total number of people cured is again greater than that of active cases, real patients.

There are 46 new deaths: 7 in the province of Piacenza (3 women – 75, 89 and 94 years respectively – and 4 men aged 58, 59, 68 and 96 years), 4 in Parma (2 women, 84 and 88 years , and 2 men, 83 and 85 years old), 6 in the province of Reggio Emilia (all women: 68, 83, 85, 87, 88, 95 years old), 10 in the Modena area (4 women – respectively 80, 82, 84, 90 years old – and 6 men: one 64, one 69, 2 87, one 73 and one 89), 2 in Bologna (a woman 79 and a man 84), 6 in the province of Ravenna (3 women – respectively 78, 88 and 91 years old – and 3 men of 64, 78 and 79 years old), 1 in the province of Forlì-Cesena (a man of 82 years) and 10 in the Rimini area ( 4 women – 2 of 77 years, one of 81 and one of 82 years – and 6 men of 62, 79, 83, 84, 85 and 100 years respectively). There are no deaths in the Ferrara area.

Hospitalization in Emilia-Romagna
There are 233 patients admitted to intensive care (one less than yesterday), 2,857 those from the rest of Covid departments (+76).

Hospitalizations in Italy
According to the latest weekly data from Agenas – National Health Services Agency – published by the Conference of the Regions, the number of intensive care units occupied in Italy by Covid patients falls to 38%, still 8% above the threshold alert. The situation in medical departments is also improving, where Covid beds have dropped to 45%, although still 5% above the critical threshold.
It should also be noted that the rates of both intensive care and hospitalizations show a decrease of -1% compared to the previous day (December 7) and -3% compared to a week ago: on Tuesday, December 1, in fact, the resuscitation occupancy was 41% and beds 48%.
The alarm threshold for intensive care places occupied by Covid patients is set at 30%. To overcome it there are 14 regions, two less than a week ago: Abruzzo (37%), Emilia Romagna (31%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (37%), Lazio (36%), Liguria (41%), Lombardy (56%), Marche (45%), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (39%), Autonomous Province of Trento (53%) , Piedmont (53%), Puglia (43%), Sardinia (34%), Tuscany (42%), Umbria (44%).
Regarding the positions occupied in the “non-critical” area, that is, in the departments of medicine, pulmonology and infectious diseases, the limit threshold has been identified at 40%. The president of the Emilia-Romagna region and the Conference of Regions, Stefano Bonaccini, spoke on the subject of vaccines: “they will arrive, I hope soon.
