The senseless state strike | Paper

More than three million state workers are today called on strike by the unions, to protest the delay in the renewal of contracts, that is, for wage claims. Then will come the triumphant declarations of the confederations about the very high adherence to the strike, be it true or false. What will the unions brag about? To have stopped for a day a public apparatus that already accumulates impressive delays, to give a higher salary to workers who, at least from the salary point of view, do not risk anything in a terrible situation for others. This strike buries the illusion of a joint responsibility of the unions in the action necessary to face the most serious economic and health crisis of the postwar period. People die, they lose their jobs, they have to close their businesses, but it doesn’t matter, what matters is the contract and only the contract.
