Collapse of infections in Puglia: after days of alarming data, decidedly better figures arrive, because before almost three times the number of swabs processed compared to yesterday, new cases fall below a thousand and above all represent 10% of all tests performed.
Basically one swab in 10 tested positive for Covid, a significant step forward if we calculate that the 1 in 4 ratio was reached in the latest surveys. Obviously, today’s best data should not lower our guard, because they remain for very high. whatever the infections and above all there are, unfortunately, other deaths.
According to information from the Department of Health Promotion, 9,646 tests are registered for the Covid-19 coronavirus infection with 915 positive cases detected: 215 in the province of Bari, 30 in the province of Brindisi, 157 in the province of BAT, 119 in the province of Foggia, 85 in the province of Lecce, 290 in the province of Taranto, 7 residents outside the region, 12 cases of unknown residence have been reclassified and attributed.
23 deaths were recorded: 8 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of Brindisi, 6 in the province of Foggia, 2 in the province of Lecce, 5 in the province of Taranto.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 853,140 swabs have been made. Recovered patients amount to 17,186 while those currently positive are 47,312.
The total number of Covid cases in Puglia is 66,257, divided as follows: 25,661 in the province of Bari; 7,455 in the province of Bat; 4,736 in the province of Brindisi; 14,959 in the province of Foggia; 5,056 in the province of Lecce; 7,943 in the province of Taranto; 416 attributed to residents outside the region, 31 province of unknown residence.
The prevention departments of APL have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
