There are 1,148 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily in the last 24 hours. The data is contained in the December 8 newsletter of the Ministry of Health. The deaths were 36. The total number of Sicilian victims since the beginning of the pandemic has risen to 1,829.
It is still good news for intensive care, where hospitalizations drop below 200 (they are 199, 6 less than yesterday), as well as hospitalizations in general (they were 1,592, today they are 1,573). Those cured in the last 24 hours were 1803. The fact that they have been more cured than the new cases has meant that the total current positives in Sicily is less than 40,000: in fact there are 39,555 (37,982 of which asymptomatic and in isolation domiciliary). The processed swabs were 9,966 and the percentage of positives in relation to the tests carried out was 11.5%.
In Italy, 13,842 new cases were registered with 634 victims (and a total of 61,240) Catania is always the province with the most new cases (440), followed by Palermo (214), Trapani (159), Messina (105), Enna (58) Caltanissetta (49), Agrigento (46), Ragusa (45), Syracuse (32).
