LECCE – Of the 9,646 tests carried out in Puglia, 915 cases of positivity to Covid-19 have been detected in the last hours. Among the new infections, 85 were related to the Salento area, as evidenced by the daily epidemiological bulletin issued by the Department of Health Promotion of the Region. The number of deaths in the region remains virtually unchanged: the most recent figure is 23 deaths from coronavirus complications, one less than the previous 24 hours.
Of these, two were registered in Tacco, as many in the province of Brindisi, eight in the province of Bari, six in Foggiano and five in Taranto. It is precisely the Ionian province from which the highest number of positive cases arises: in fact there are 290, while 215 refer to the Bari area and 157 to the Bat. Thirty infections detected in the Brindisi area and 119 in Foggia. Among the citizens affected by the virus, seven are residents outside the region.

Of the total of 66,257 positive patients in the region, 5 thousand 56 are residents of the province of Lecce. The concentration is between the territories of Bari and Foggia: 25,661 in the former, 14,959 in the province of Dauna. There are also 7,455 positive citizens currently in the Bat, 7,943 in the Tarantino and 4,736 in the Brindisi area.
