Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 658 new infections have been detected (10.24 percent of the 6,427 swabs performed). There were also 21 deaths from Covid-19, to which are added another nine previous deaths entered today into the system and corresponding to the period from December 1 to 6. A total of 36,484 people tested positive for the virus in the region since the start of the pandemic, of which: 8,223 in Trieste (more than 87), 16,148 in Udine (more than 400), 7,291 in Pordenone (more than 150) and 4,378 in Gorizia (plus 16), plus 444 people from outside the region. The current cases of infection are 15,366. The number of patients treated in intensive care has risen to 64, the highest figure ever recorded, while the number of patients hospitalized in other departments has dropped to 658. The total deaths amounted to 1,089, with the following territorial subdivision : 360 in Trieste (plus nine), 443 in Udine (plus 14), 226 (plus three) in Pordenone and 60 in Gorizia (plus four). The totally cured are 20,029, the clinically cured 489 and the isolated 14,155.

Regarding the regional health system (SSR), the positivity for Covid of seven nurses, a doctor, an administrative, two technicians and three Oss will be registered with the health authority of the Friuli Centrale University; in the Western Friuli Healthcare Company of two doctors, four nurses, a technician and four Oss and in the Sanitary Authority of Giuliano Isontina University of an Oss.
