the mystery of the Beijing vaccine

The Covid vaccine may have already landed among the Chinese communities of Campania, where the black market would still be limited to a select few. To obtain it, only enormous financial resources would not suffice. An indispensable and necessary condition, more than money, would be, in fact, the correct “connections” with the distribution network of the Chinese drug that, to date, is not commercialized for the masses. “We are aware that, within the Chinese communities in Campania, there has been some episode regarding the arrival of the vaccine directly from China but we distance ourselves from what happened clandestinely and illegally,” he explains. Wu zhiqiang, spokesman for the Chinese community in Naples, which since the beginning of the pandemic has been dedicated to prevention campaigns and compliance with anti-Covid security regulations.

Coronavirus vaccine, in Britain the first dose administered to a 90-year-old person

“In recent weeks there has been word of mouth in the chats that are shared among Chinese communities about the possibility of receiving the vaccine, but it seems that very few have actually tried it,” says Wu, known to all as Savio. “From the information we have, the vaccine would arrive by private mail and it is simple to administer, like any syringe but it is a complex operation,” explains Savio, who also represents the Chinese national union and highlights how “to have the vaccine. You need a a large sum of money but above all the possibility of having acquaintances and friends within the distribution and commercialization of drugs in China ”.

A more widespread and decidedly legal practice, compared to the clandestinely purchased vaccine, is the ability to travel and get vaccinated in China. “Some members of our communities in Campania have had the opportunity to be vaccinated, returning to their countries of origin but, even in this case, it is not easy because it is also necessary to have a good network of acquaintances,” continues Savio who awaits the distribution of the drug approved by the European community without pursuing the Chinese antidote. “The phenomenon of the period before the Chinese vaccine is happening recently because, according to the news we have, only the current drug has a real efficacy, estimated at about 92% – explains the spokesman for the eastern Neapolitan community – the earlier Chinese vaccines they have not been adequate and have had an experimental use without reaching the real commercialization and distribution by the health authorities. ”In fact, in China, the time has not yet come for the massive use of the drug, according to news leaked by members of Chinese communities in Naples and its province. “A couple of weeks ago, in China, a survey was carried out to gather information on who wanted to test the new vaccines,” he explains. Deng Zhe, representative of the Beijing Zhongyiukun technology agency to study Chinese abroad: The priority that arose was for people who would travel abroad, including students, but, for the moment, the vaccine has not been commercialized.

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the direct link between the Chinese communities in Naples and China, travels in the chats that connect some 5000 people officially registered in the capital of Campania. Advice on homeopathic medicines and products to take to combat Covid has abounded on digital chat platforms lately, and often these are products that are purchased directly from China. “To many members of our communities they send homeopathic products and medicines to their compatriots that can be bought legally and that serve to strengthen the immune system,” continues Wu, who, for example, has been taking doses of garlic extract, known in China for months. as a powerful antiviral and is used in both ampoules and pills.

One thing is certain: since the Covid boom, very few Chinese have fallen ill in Italy and the Neapolitan ASL data perfectly reflects this proportion. Suffice it to say that since the second wave of the pandemic, the Neapolitan ASL has been registered since October, only 5 infected with Chinese nationality of the total of the 5,200 respondents … These are people between 36 and 58 years old, except for a child of 7 months, in most cases asymptomatic or with mild symptoms and in none of the cases requiring hospital treatment. A fact that adds to the mystery and the question of why the official number of Covid patients is so low among the Chinese communities transplanted to Italy and, in particular, to Naples.

The response to the small number of infections among Chinese communities could not exclude the trail of clandestine vaccines or even contemplate the hypothesis of naturally more structured immune defenses, but for now, it remains an unknown. Those who have returned home to undergo the vaccine in China, however, have no doubts. On the one hand, in fact, there is the explanation of the “great attention of the Chinese to respect the rules, never lower the mask and always sanitize the hands”; on the other is the vaccine. “In November I was vaccinated against Covid-19 in a hospital in China and now I am immune,” he told Adnkronos. Joy wuang, a merchant in Rome of Chinese nationality – I’m fine, I had no fever or pain. It is not mandatory, anyone who wants to can do it. Since October, the Chinese population has begun to be vaccinated against the Coronavirus and in Zhejiang, my region, no one is infected anymore. According to Gioia “many compatriots who live in Italy, and who went to China to get vaccinated, are afraid to return here due to the high number of infections”, but in his case, it was a personal choice. “They gave me two injections and I paid 60 euros. A friend of mine, after getting the vaccine, went to the hospital and got tested to see if he had antibodies against Covid-19 and he had them. The value was 2.1 ». The advice, then, is “to do it to everyone,” he explains, “so that no one gets sick.”
