In Palermo, new positives are on the decline, but the city is mourning another coronavirus victim. This is the engineer Roberto Pirera, former official of the Municipality’s Mobility Office and a figure of great prestige in the automotive world. As Fabio Geraci recounts in the Giornale di Sicilia kiosks, he was first hospitalized in the Covid del Cervello pavilion and then in intensive care at the Partinico hospital. The former municipal manager got worse and, within a week, he passed away.

There were many messages of condolences from Pizzuto, president of the ACI club, who paid tribute to “a great friend of the Automobile Club and a great enthusiast but above all a respectable person”.

On his Facebook page, the Catania councilor also expressed his pain: “It has only been a few weeks since Roberto Pirera, on the occasion of his last day at work, came into my room to receive me. And this damn virus, in addition to depriving us of an affectionate greeting, to prevent us from seeing each other again ”.
