A national protocol that guides the reopening of secondary schools present as of January 7

According to Ansa, the proposal was presented by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte during the meeting in which the new Dpcm is being debated together with the Regions and Municipalities.

The protocol will be based on a document proposed by the Minister of Education, Lucía Azzolina. On the basis of that document – explains Ansa – the Plan to reopen schools will be built in January. The Regions will undertake to develop a transportation plan for the return from high school and to develop an operational plan in health with preferential lanes for buffers for schools and activation of protocols.

The draft of the Dpcm foresees, as of January 7, the return to classes at 50% for high school students.

Provinces: Prime Minister’s protocol is good

“We share and appreciate the proposal of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to define, Government, Regions, Provinces and Metropolitan Cities, a national protocol that will guide the reopening of secondary schools in attendance as of January 7. This is a priority objective that we must all achieve together, giving the 2.5 million students the chance to return little by little to normal teaching ”.

This is the comment of the representative of the UPI, Luca Menesini, on the proposal made by Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte regarding the reopening of the schools. “As for the Dpcm – said Menesini speaking at the table – we appreciate that the Government has accepted our proposal to gradually reopen secondary schools. On January 7, schools will be ready to welcome the 2.5 million average students who attend safely. “

“During the summer – Menesini told President Conte – the Provinces have done a great job with investments in light construction or renting spaces for equipment, so that schools are safe in line with the requirements of the CTS and the Government. The reopening of care from January 7 to 50% is a measure of balance that allows us to maintain health needs linked to social and educational needs that must be considered a priority. The establishment of the coordination table seems positive to us and it is true that it is at the provincial level: it is the ideal situation for the high schools because there are great differences between large and small cities and at the provincial level we are able to better resolve critical issues. Of course, maximum collaboration between institutions is needed to find the most useful solutions, so we hope that the tables will open immediately, in the coming days, to be able to solve in advance the problems that could hinder the recovery in January ” .
