The world of health is in mourning. Luciano Paolucci, an esteemed professional and former primary, died at the age of 73. He coordinated the department of otorhinolaryngology of Villa Pini. My colleague Mauro Pannunzi: “a loss that hurts us a lot”. He had contracted the coronavirus and was hospitalized at the Covid center in Civitanova. In his life he had performed more than 15 thousand surgeries, but lately he had found himself on the other side of the fence, as a patient. He had contracted Covid-19 and had been fighting the virus for nearly a month at the Civitanova facility. Until a few days before noticing the symptoms, he was in the room with his patients at the Villa dei Pini private clinic where he coordinated the room. Paolucci was well known and respected. Originally from Filottrano, he graduated from the University of Bologna and most of his professional life was spent in Jesi. Here he worked from 1973 to 2007 when he retired: in this structure he first held the role of assistant until 1982 and later as assistant until 1991 and later primary school until retirement in 2007. However, Paolucci does not leave the profession and continues to work, in the Marchetti clinic in Macerata and then in Villa dei Pini. Saddened by the death of his colleague and friend Mauro Pannunzi: «it was news that hurt us a lot, a great loss. He was a happy person, available, always cheerful. I never had a disagreement. Unfortunately this virus is very bad and dentists and ophthalmologists are at great risk.
