Double cyclone over Italy, another Friday. Heavy snow, storms. Cold winter

Here we are, we have entered the heart of the first deterioration in December. The weather conditions have already worsened from the north, Sardinia, Lazio, Tuscany and rapidly towards the rest of central Italy.

Snow has fallen over much of northern Italy, including the Po Valley, from west to east, as far as Friuli. The white mantle mainly covers the lower Po Valley and the southern sector. The Northern Apennines.

This time we will also have to deal with the snow, today the first very low snowfall of Winter has arrived. But there is further deterioration on the horizon for Friday and Saturday, with heavy snow falling mainly in the west of the Po Valley and inland Liguria, before a smoother airflow arrives.

Very heavy snowfall is expected in the Alps and Pre-Alps.

As can be seen from the map, rain accumulations (we are talking about 5-day accumulations) could easily exceed 100mm in the Tyrrhenian and Northeast regions, but the largest peaks could even exceed 200mm. It means that there will be electrical storms, capable of dumping large amounts of rain to the ground in a short time.

Not good news in short, and eyes on Friday, when another vortex of depression should fall over our regions causing a strong resurgence of bad weather. The model in question, which takes the forecast to 5 days, also takes into account the worsening of the first weekend of December, which will also have winter characteristics.
