The coronavirus epidemic continues to keep many Calabrian municipalities apprehensive where numerous infections continue to occur even these days. A special ordinance, the number 92 of December 1, 2020, signed by the Acting President of the Calabria Region, Nino Spirlì, institutionalizes the return of the “red zones” in eight municipalities. Important municipalities from three provinces of Calabria, Crotone, Reggio Calabria and Vibo Valentia are involved. Therefore, the municipalities of Bagnara Calabria (RC), Platì (RC), Bruzzano Zeffirio (RC), Cardeto, (RC), Pallagorio (KR), Cotronei (KR), Isola Capo Rizzuto (KR) and Mileto (VV)
Municipalities are also identified at the regional level as “Orange zone” and it is specifically about four municipalities in the province of Vibo: Pizzo, Rombiolo, San Gregorio d’Ippona and San Costantino Calabro.
The new measures provided for by the new ordinance come into force as of tomorrow Wednesday, December 2 to December 12.
Restrictive measures in the “red zone”
Limit to the maximum any movement, prohibition of transfer or movement, “by all the people present there” in a different municipality except for proven labor needs. You can move only for reasons of absolute urgency, that is, for health reasons and by self-certification.
All commercial and productive activities are suspended, with the exception of those considered essential, indicated in Annex 23 of the Prime Minister’s Decree of November 3, 2020; the markets are closed, regardless of the type of activity, except for activities aimed solely at the sale of food products. Kiosks, tobacconists, pharmacies and parapharmacies remain open;
The activities of catering services (including bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, patisseries) are suspended. Only catering with home delivery is allowed and from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. catering with take-out food, with prohibition of consumption on site or in the vicinity;
School activities of all levels and levels are suspended in presence, with the exception of nursery and preschool centers (educational services 0-6 years), with recourse to distance education. On the basis of individual organizations, integrated digital didactics in schools, in the presence of the respective support teachers, continues to be allowed for students with special educational needs.
In the municipalities of the orange zone
Within the municipal area, the circulation of natural persons is not allowed between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. the following day. Only trips motivated by work needs, situations of need, urgent situations or health reasons are allowed. To justify the movements it will be necessary to show a self-declaration
The activities of the catering services (including bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, patisseries) are suspended. Only catering with home delivery is allowed and from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. catering with take away food, with prohibition of consumption on the spot or in the vicinity.
