New cases of coronavirus increase in Sicily, but with many more swabs: 1,399 infections in 24 hours but 10,773 swabs, bringing the positivity rate to 12.9%, still above the national average. The death toll dropped to 34 in one day, compared to 49 yesterday. Fortunately, ordinary hospitalizations (-30) and intensive care (-6) have also decreased. Many healed, 1259.

The decline of the epidemic curve in Italy continues, with new cases below 20,000 for the first time since October 26. Infections in 24 hours are 19,350 (yesterday 16,377) compared to 182,100 swabs performed (yesterday 130,524) with a drop in the positive / swab ratio of 10.62% (yesterday it was 12.54%).

The death toll, on the other hand, is increasing again, 785 today against 672 yesterday, 56,361 in total. Intensive care continues to fall, -81 (-9 yesterday), 3,663 in total, while the decrease in ordinary hospitalizations is more marked -376 (+308 yesterday), and they are 32,811.
