Therefore, the first step to play is to enter your tax code in the corresponding session of the site www.lotteriadegliscontrini.gov.it and print the code (or save it on your devices, mobile phones, ipads). Starting in January, the code can be presented to merchants who, through the electronic transmission of receipts, will send the bet data directly to the Tax Agency, essentially as it already happens in the pharmacy with the health card: you get a ticket “virtual” each euro spent, with a maximum of 1000 tickets per single purchase, all digitally, so it will not be necessary to keep receipts. Once the draws have been carried out, the Customs Agency will communicate the winnings via Pec or registered letter, anticipating the news with a text message to those who have registered, also leaving the telephone number. To participate it is only necessary to be of legal age and resident in Italy. Online purchases are excluded.
The draws take place on Thursday: in 2021 there are weekly draws, starting on January 14 (for receipts registered by the lottery system from 4 to 10) and 11 monthly draws every second Thursday of the month, starting on February 11 .. The first annual draw will be held in early 2022, and all receipts transmitted and recorded in 2021 will participate. The “loot” in this case will be 5 million for the consumer and 1 million for the merchant. All giveaways, in fact, with cashless payments will also reward merchants. The prize pool subdivision is being updated, because until now earnings were also expected for those who paid in cash, but the maneuver (which takes effect on January 1) limits participation in electronic payments.
