CENCENIGHE
Tragedy at night in Cencenighe: Franco Collarin, 45, father of two children, died in his sleep struck by a heart attack. Only in the morning his wife Mistak, trying to wake him, realized that her husband no longer showed signs of life.
THE SMILE
“A discreet person, always smiling, who took care of the family and the company where he worked – remembers Mayor Mauro Soppelsa with a weak voice. Losing a young life like this, in the prime of life, for a small community like ours is truly a serious pain. But even losing the father so soon for the two children Matteo and Filippo, still young, is really a great disaster. So ideally I hug myself around the pain of Franco’s family and his loved ones, bringing the emotion and condolences of our entire community.
THE COMPANY
Franco Collarin had been engaged for years with his father Dino to run the family business that with Franco had crossed the flattering milestone of the third generation. In fact, in the 1950s, Grandfather Oreste, who came to town as an employee of the then Sade, opened the cabinet and the small furniture store, immediately becoming one of the reference points of sale not only in Cencenighe, but in the entire area of Agordino. A fortune not only for the quality of the products offered, but also thanks to the owners of second homes in the upper Agordino who found furniture suitable for the mountain style there.
THE SPONSOR
The Collarin company has always been at the forefront of sporting event sponsorships. Already in the seventies he gave his name to a coveted soccer trophy that mobilized the fans of the area. The furniture factory itself participated with its own team, which at that time was also one of the strongest. Also at the will of Oreste and his son Dino, Hochey Alleghe’s team was also sponsored in part.
THE FUTURE
Now on the horizon was the gradual handover at the helm of the company between Dino and Franco. The project failed on a cold winter night. The funeral will take place today at 2.30 pm in the parish church of Cencenighe. In addition to his wife, Franco leaves his children Matteo and Filippo, his mother Mirella.
