There are 1,138 cases of coronavirus in Sicily in the last 24 hours, a slight increase compared to yesterday. Sadly, there is another tragic record of victims: 49 in 24 hoursOnly on November 26 was such a high number reached. The positivity rate is also up: 13.23% against 11.5% yesterday.

The current infected are 40,624: 1,547 hospitalized with symptoms, 226 in intensive care (-15), 38,851 in home isolation. The dead are 1,555, 49 more than yesterday. There are 63,686 cases in total, 21,507 discharged cured (+999), with an increase in swabs performed equal to 8,602.

This is the breakdown of the new cases at the provincial level: 288 in Palermo, 503 in Catania, 98 in Messina, 73 in Ragusa, 7 in Trapani, 30 in Syracuse, 72 in Agrigento, 43 in Caltanissetta and 24 in Enna.

The decline of the epidemic curve in Italy continues, with new cases returning below 20,000 for the first time since October 26. The infections in 24 hours are 16,377 (yesterday 20,648), as always on Monday with fewer tampons, 130,524 (46 thousand less than yesterday), so much so that the positive / buffer ratio rises to 12.54% (yesterday it was 11.66 ). But the decline in the weekly average is clear: last Monday, always with some tampons, infections were 22,930.

The death toll, on the other hand, is rising again, 672 today compared to 541 yesterday, 55,576 in total. Intensive care continues to fall, -9 (the same as yesterday), 3,744 in total, while after several days hospitalizations have increased again, 308 more (yesterday -420), and are 33,187.
