The number of new positives of coronavirus in Sicily decreases: in the last 24 hours there have been 1,189 compared to 1,566 yesterday. This is what is shown in the bulletin of the Ministry of Health. There are 43 deaths in a single day, even this number is lower than yesterday when there were 47.

There are currently 39,882 infected. In total, 1,776 hospitalized patients are admitted, of which 247 are in intensive care (-3 compared to yesterday). Instead, 38,116 people are in home isolation. Those healed increased to 20,181 while deaths to 1,461. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 61,524 people have been infected. In the last 24 hours, 8,777 swabs were made. The percentage between swabs made and new positives today is 13.54%: it is also lower than yesterday (14.72%).

In the provincial context, the new cases are distributed as follows: Palermo 414, Catania 315, Messina 159, Ragusa 82, Siracusa 76, Trapani 67, Enna 49, Caltanissetta 25, Agrigento 2.

In Italy, data from the Ministry of Health show 26,323 infected, 686 dead and 24,214 recovered in the last 24 hours. Fewer infections than yesterday. The number of victims is still very high. Hospital admissions in ordinary wards (-385) and in intensive care (-20) are decreasing. Less pressure on sanitary facilities. Small but very important encouraging signs, the virus brakes sharply, even if the decline will be as long as expected. Lombardy continues to be the most affected region: today 4,615 cases and 119 deaths. The swabs were 225,940, or 3,137 more than yesterday.
