With both world titles awarded to Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, the fight for third place between Racing Point, Renault, McLaren and Ferrari ignites in the first of two rounds at Sakhir.

12.52 – Many improvements: Vettel climbs in P10 ahead of Giovinazzi, while Leclerc is in P13 due to a mistake in the last corner. The Monegasque warns on the radio that he has had a horrible lap, with three blocks in three different corners

12.33 – Problem col DRS for Max verstappen, with the mobile wing that dances dangerously once opened. The Dutchman, however, improves and lowers the session limit in 1: 29,600

12.29 – Leclerc returns to the track after an initial test, Hamilton stops in place
12.27 – Hamilton stops 369 thousandths of Verstappen’s time and stops at P2. It’s still time for Bottas, tenth a second from the top
12.26 – Verstappen now starts to beat the beat on 1: 29,617. The Dutch cut more than half a second to Pérez. a lot of traffic on the track at the moment
12.25 – Pérez is the fastest in 1: 30.159. Follow Gasly 73 thousandths, then Albon, Norris and Leclerc. Ferrari seems to have taken a good step forward, considering the similar time to PL2 even though the track is much slower than last night.
12.21 – Almost everyone is now on track except Verstappen, Ocon and the two Mercedes of Hamilton and Bottas
12.20 – The two Ferraris, the two McLarens, Pérez’s Racing Point and Giovinazzi’s Alfa Romeo hit the track
