Minister Speranza’s decision. Musumeci: “Satisfied but not all free”. Lupo: “Merit of the sacrifices of the Sicilians”

ROME – Yellow zone for the Regions of Liguria and Sicily. This is foreseen by the new ordinance that will be signed by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and that will be in force as of November 29. “Will Sicily be yellow from Sunday? We are pleased to recognize this and will continue to work with the same commitment that has been established since the beginning of the pandemic. In the next few hours, together with the Councilor for Health Ruggero Razza, I will meet with the Scientific Technical Committee to evaluate the measures to be taken in light of the new classification. Let me be clear: it is not a free all ”. This was stated by the president of the Region. Nello musumeci, commenting on Sicily’s transition to the yellow area.

“The sacrifices of the Sicilians during the period of the ‘orange zone’ were fundamental to allow our island to pass into the ‘yellow zone’ – says the leader of Pd all’Ars Giuseppe Lupo -. This news encourages us from the point of view of health because it confirms that the contagion rate has slowed down and, at the same time, opens a significant recovery in economic and commercial activities. If from the beginning the Region had carried out constant and accurate monitoring, and if it had adjusted the health and hospital network over time, in all probability we would have been a ‘yellow zone’ from the beginning. The mistake that should not be made now – Lupo adds – is to lower our guard, and think that ‘it’s over’ because the virus continues to circulate ”.

After the order that Hope will sign for the passage of 3 regions to the orange strip and 2 to the yellow one, the boot is colored like this: the orange regions are Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Basilicata, Puglia, FVG. The yellow ones: Liguria, Sicily, Sardinia, Lazio, Molise, Veneto, Autonomous Province of Trento. They are red: the autonomous province of Bolzano, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Campania, Aosta Valley.

“We are sure that now the Region, after the signing of the minister’s ordinance, will review its options on Sunday closing of commercial activities,” he says. Patrizia Di Dio, president of Confcommercio Palermo. “It was already a stretch to close them when Sicily was the orange zone, now that Sicily becomes the yellow zone we expect an immediate revocation of that provision”, continues Di Dio according to which “the survival of the businesses is at stake and consequently of many “jobs”.
