Coronavirus, 814 new infections and 26 deaths in Fvg

Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 814 new infections have been detected – 10.67 percent of the 7,626 swabs made – and 26 deaths from Covid-19. Of the new positives today, 104 refer to previous tests conducted in private laboratories from November 11 to 24. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.

The positive curve rises again: yesterday there were 696 new cases, which is equivalent to 10.07 percent of the 6,910 certified tests. The number of victims is also falling, reaching the level of Tuesday, November 24 and touches the current negative record since the start of the pandemic, on November 20, when the deaths related to Covid had been 28.

The current cases of infection are 14,139. There are 55 (one more than yesterday) patients in intensive care treatment and 599 (11 more than in the previous bulletin) hospitalized in other departments. The deaths totaled 741, with the following territorial subdivision: 291 in Trieste, 262 in Udine, 161 in Pordenone and 27 in Gorizia. The totally cured are 12,219, the clinically cured 317 and the isolated 13,168.

People who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 27,099, of which: 6,569 in Trieste, 11,739 in Udine, 5,134 in Pordenone and 3,323 in Gorizia, plus 334 people from outside the region.

The victims are a 102-year-old woman from Trieste who died in a nursing home; a 97-year-old woman from Cassacco who died in her home; a 96-year-old man from Povoletto who died in an RSA; a 93-year-old man from Lestizza who died in hospital; a 93-year-old man from Nimis who died in a retirement home; a 93-year-old woman and an 87-year-old woman from Tarcento who died in an Asp; a 92-year-old man from Mortegliano who died in hospital; a 90-year-old man from Pasian di Prato who died in hospital; an 86-year-old man from Pozzuolo del Friuli who died in hospital; an 86-year-old man from Trieste who died in an RSA; an 86-year-old man from San Giovanni al Natisone who died in hospital; an 86-year-old woman from Trieste who died in hospital; an 86-year-old man from Udine who died in hospital; an 84-year-old woman from Cordoba who died in the hospital; an 83-year-old man from Pradamano who died in hospital; an 82-year-old woman from Trieste who died at home; an 80-year-old man from Sacile who died in hospital; a 79-year-old man and woman from Tolmezzo who died in an Asp; a 78-year-old man from Torviscosa who died in hospital; a 76-year-old man from Vajont who died in hospital; a 76-year-old man from Rigolato who died in hospital; a 76-year-old man from Manzano who died in hospital; a 68-year-old man from Codroipo who died in an Asp and, finally, a 61-year-old man from Trieste who died at home.

Regarding the new positivity to the virus, in the sector of nursing homes 41 cases of people housed in regional structures were detected, while the health workers who were infected within the same structures were in total 33.

In front of the Regional health system (Ssr) the positivity for Covid of an assistant, two therapists, five nurses, two doctors, a veterinarian and seven Oss to be registered with the university health authority of Friuli Centrale; at the Western Friuli Healthcare Company of six nurses and three Oss; in the Giuliano Isontina University Sanitary Company of a laboratory technician and two nurses. It is also worth noting the positivity of two nurses from Cro di Aviano.

Finally, two people who returned from abroad (Bosnia and Albania) tested positive for the virus.
