Infections are on the rise again in both the city of Rome and Lazio, where there are 2509 positive cases compared to 2341 on Monday, of 7627 swabs more than those of the previous day.
According to the data that emerged in the latest ASL and hospitals bulletin, there are always more than a thousand cases in the capital, or 1,483 versus 1,421 the day before (+62 versus November 23).
“Lazio’s situation from the beginning contrasts with the rest of Italy for several reasons. The first is a tenacious and constant campaign in the area to eliminate the virus,” said the medical director of Spallanzani di Roma, Francesco Vaia, yesterday during a press conference in which the telemedicine service was presented.
In Lazio 85,796 positive cases
Positive cases in Lazio have exceeded 85 thousand in the last 24 hours: 85,796 are, in fact, infected against 83889 on Monday. The number of hospitalized patients increased slightly: there are 3,361 (+10 in the last 24 hours). Therefore, the number of patients admitted to intensive care has increased by 10: 345.
While, again compared to November 23, there are 2,088 (+ 62 deaths in the last 24 hours). Those healed exceed 19 thousand: there are 19,606. The total number of cases examined exceeds 107 thousand: in fact there are 107,490.
Spallanzani: 259 positives, of which 41 in intensive care
“There are a total of 259 patients who are positive for the Sars-CoV 2 swab (-2 compared to yesterday). Of these, 41 patients (-4 compared to yesterday) require intensive care ”.
This is what we read in today’s medical bulletin published by the National Institute of Infectious Diseases ‘Lazzaro Spallanzani’ in Rome. “The patients discharged and transferred to their homes or to other local structures – we read again – are 1,301 this morning.”
In Lazio, patients treated at home with remote assistance
And just yesterday at Lazio Covid patients in active surveillance and in fiduciary isolation will be able to be treated directly at home thanks to the support of technology. A pilot project is being carried out for the telemonitoring and telecare of patients with Covid “10 by 10”. Ten general practitioners from the ASL Roma 3 territory will be able to remotely follow one hundred patients (ten each) through small state-of-the-art devices made available by Takeda.
The pilot project is being carried out by the Region and the Rome Institute of Infectious Diseases, in collaboration with the Federation of General Practitioners, ASL Roma 3, ADiLife and Takeda Italia.
More than 10 million for hospitals
Meanwhile, the reinforcement of hospital facilities continues: “Financing for a total of 9 million and 845 thousand euros for the Sant’Eugenio and Pertini (Asl Roma 2), San Giovanni Addolorata (Asl Roma 1) and Velletri (Asl Rome 6), “says D’Amato.
Specifically, 4 million and 532 thousand euros are allocated to the expansion of the emergency room of the Pertini hospital in Rome and 3 million to the expansion of the emergency room of the Sant’Eugenio hospital in Rome.
One million 505 thousand euros will finance the remodeling of the bronchial endoscopy and diseases of the respiratory system of San Giovanni Addolorata in Rome and 808 thousand euros will finance the adaptation of the emergency room and the construction of the hot room of the Velletri hospital.
