Without Communion to gay son, parents found LGBT association “We are all children of God”

The turning point comes in a conference organized by three priests who welcome young people from all over Italy, rejected by the Church, sometimes estranged from their own families. Francisco’s parents discover that there are other marginalized mothers and fathers, like their homosexual children, from the life of the Church. Then they founded the association “We are all children of God.” “We use the term homo-affective,” Roberto explains to Il Gazzettino, “because these boys are born that way, with a different affectivity and if the Lord created them that way, why should we discriminate against them?”

The group, which offers support and welcomes those who feel rejected, has managed to be received by the Pope, the Patriarch of Venice and the Bishop of Treviso. Small openings signal the growing attention of the Church. “These boys are not wrong, on the contrary, they show extraordinary intelligence and sensitivity and if they came into the world like this, it means that God wanted them that way.”
