This afternoon, in Genoa, in Piazza De Ferrari, a complete classroom with desks and a blackboard was installed to demonstrate against distance education and call for the immediate resumption of face-to-face lessons.

Numerous high school and university students, teachers, lecturers and parents participated in the event organized by the groups ‘It’s already September’ and ‘Priority to school in Genoa’. “Dad is the opposite of school”, “I can’t go to school because they haven’t invested in local health care”, “I can’t go because Mayor Bucci didn’t buy enough buses”, “Schools are closed because they haven’t found the necessary spaces ”and“ fewer benches with wheels, more teachers and staff ”: these are some of the posters displayed by the protesters.

“We want to denounce that the school has lagged behind despite being an insurmountable priority”points out a mother. “Despite the poor organization and the savings obtained by the ‘dad’, the University of Genoa did not even deign to cut the third installment, just as the president of the Region Giovanni Toti did not fulfill his promise to cut the regional tax on studies”, a university student denounces.
