Today, Friday, November 20, 2020, there are 3,861 more cases of people positive for coronavirus than yesterday. Among them there are 1,273 asymptomatic, which is equivalent to 33% of the total. The cases of people who have so far tested positive for Covid-19 in Piedmont amount to 144,038, divided as follows by provinces: 12,452 Alessandria, 6,564 Asti, 5,076 Biella, 18,643 Cuneo, 10,841 Novara, 78,293 Turin, 5,443 Vercelli, 4,490 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, as well as 839 residents outside the region but in charge of Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 1,397 are under development and territorial allocation.
Hospitalizations and tampons: the numbers
Compared to yesterday, the number of hospitalized in intensive care increased (393 people in total, 3 more) and the number of hospitalized not in intensive care increased (5,225 people in total, 78 more than yesterday). There are 70,927 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,386,198 (more 21,513 than yesterday) of which 731,191 were negative.
The deaths
There are 88 Covid-19 test positive deaths reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit. Of these, 11 occurred today (the cumulative update data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and only subsequently determined as Covid deaths). The total now stands at 5,419 deaths that have tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 841 Alessandria, 322 Asti, 266 Biella, 590 Cuneo, 508 Novara, 2,393 Turin, 280 Vercelli, 168 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 51 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont.
Today, the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region announced that there are a total of 62,074 cured patients (more 4,465 compared to yesterday) divided as follows at the provincial level: Alessandria 5,666, Asti 3,074, Biella 1,949 Cuneo 7,084 Novara 4,525, Turin 35,004, Vercelli 2,326, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola 1,803, extra-region 326, in addition to 317 being defined.
