Seats in medical wards occupied by Covid patients are 51% nationally, against a threshold of 40% – a figure that affects 15 regions.
The regions beyond the threshold, therefore, are Campania (3. 4%), Emilia romagna (35%), Lazio (32%), Liguria (53%), Lombardy (64%), Market (Four. Five%), Bolzano Province (57%), Province of Trento (39%), Piedmont (61%), Apulia (41%), Sardinia (37%), Tuscany (47%), Umbria (55%), Aosta Valley (46%), while Sicily it is at the limit, at 30%. It is no better for ordinary hospital beds: the Italian average is 51% (the risk threshold in this case is 40%), with 15 regions above the threshold. As mentioned, 42% of intensive care places are occupied by Covid patients, or 12% above the critical threshold of 30%.
