Even today, the figures for the epidemic in Molise are not good. 4 people died, 11 were hospitalized, one person got worse and was transferred to the ICU, and there are 156 new cases of infection detected against 1037 tests. In practice, the positivity rate is now around 15%, only yesterday it was 11.5. The only good news: there are another 20 people healed.
4 DEATHS IN A FEW HOURS, ONLY 2 WERE HOSPITAL
There are 4 deaths of Covid-19 patients in the last hours in Molise. In addition to the 74-year-old from Cerro al Volturno who had lost his life in the Intensive Care Unit that same day, three other people died from the effects of the infection.
One of them was hospitalized in Infectious Diseases in Cardarelli di Campobasso: he is a 79-year-old man from Capracotta who had been in hospital for a few days.
The other two deaths occurred outside the hospital and concern two women. A 90-year-old woman from Ferrazzano, positive for Sars-Cov-2, died at her home. Finally, an 81-year-old man from Vinchiaturo who was cared for at the local nursing home also died.

74 PATIENTS HOSPITALIZED BY COVID, MAXIMUM PRESSURE IN THE CARDARELLI
There are 11 patients admitted to Infectious Diseases today, November 18. They come from several municipalities in Molise: Sant’Agapito, Larino, Isernia (two people), Montaquila, Venafro, Bojano (two people), Termoli and Pietrabbondante. Instead, another patient from Bojano was taken to intensive care, where a patient from San Giuliano di Puglia treated so far in Infectious was also transferred.
The current panorama in the hospital, in Cardarelli di Campobasso, is then the following: 74 people currently hospitalized, 66 of which in Infectious (36 in Campobasso province, 22 in Isernia and 8 in other regions) and 8 in intensive care (4 Campobasso province and 4 Isernia province).
Contrada Tappino hospital, where doctors and nurses are insufficient for real needs, is under pressure like never before.

156 new positivity tested on over 1030 swabs. But Molise’s positivity rate today is higher than the national one (15% vs. 14.6%). The centers with the most cases at present are Montaquila (which marks a worrying +32), Termoli (+20), Campobasso (+17), Pietrabbondante and San Martino in Pensilis (both +10). On the downside, there are 6 cases in Isernia, 5 cases in Colle d’Anchise, 4 in Montecilfone and 3 in Fornelli, Petacciato, Portocannone, Riccia, Gambatesa. 2 cases each in the municipalities of Campomarino, Casalciprano, Cercemaggiore, Cerro al Volturno, Morrone del Sannio, Oratino, Ururi, Venafro and Vinchiaturo. Finally, there is only one case in almost 20 municipalities of Molise.

It is not the record number of yesterday, when 224 people were officially declared cured by the regional health authority, but it is still good news. Today – November 18 – 20 people can breathe relieved, they have officially overcome the virus as is clear from the bulletin issued tonight by the regional health company. There are 4 people from Oratino (ie the guests of the Il giardino di Ninetta accommodation community), three people respectively in Venafro, Campobasso and Forlì del Sannio. Finally, a citizen of Pesche, Castelpetroso, Sant’Elia a Pianisi, Campomarino, Sant’Agapito and Gambatesa, respectively, went through Covid-19.
In the story of the cured there is also a patient from Campania de Gallo Matese (province of Caserta).
MOLISE IN COUNTERTENDENCY, 15% POSITIVITY RATE
If, in general, in Italy the positivity rate, that is, the number of infections compared to the number of swabs, seems to be in a very slight decrease, in Molise today, with 156 positives out of more than 1000 swabs, the rate positivity is increasing. In other words, it is 15% compared to 14.6% of the national average. Yesterday in Molise the positivity rate was 11.5%, that is, more than 11 positives per 100 swabs.
NATIONAL DATA
According to the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, 34,283 new cases of coronavirus have been detected in the national territory, compared to 234,834 swabs. The victims registered today were 753, even more than yesterday when there were 731. To report +58 new ICU hospitalizations (less than in recent days) and 430 more ordinary hospitalizations. The positivity rate is 14.6%, while yesterday it was 15.4%.
Looking at the previous day, in Italy there were 32,191 new cases of Sars-Cov-2 but with 208,458 swabs processed, therefore, about 26 thousand fewer than today. Yesterday there were +538 admissions and +120 people in the ICU.
