Lombardy will be the red zone until November 27

Red zone of Brescia, like all Lombardy, for another ten days, at least until November 27: then we’ll see. This is what emerged from the State-Regions conference that was convened for Tuesday afternoon and in which the different presidents -among them Attilio Fontana- met, albeit remotely, with the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and his technicians.

Everything will be decided on November 27

The certainty that seems granite, to date, is the date of November 27: as anticipated on the eve of the meeting, that would be the period in which to reason any slowdown, even in the first regions that have reddened (including, precisely ,, Lombardy). Arriving that day, it seems, it will be possible to discuss a reduction of restrictions at the provincial level.

Therefore, hypothesize orange subareas also in a red region: such as the province of Brescia. But they are just words, voices and little else. Also because to date the only Lombard provinces that could be “liberated” are those with an Rt index below 1.5: Pavía, Sondrio, Cremona and Lodi.

Red and orange zones: the Dpcm rules

Everything will be decided at the end of the month. In accordance with the regulations set by the last Dpcm -which expires on December 3- the Regions may request the revision of the band one week after its entry, based on the monitoring of the Higher Institute of Health. But those numbers must be confirmed for two consecutive weeks before they can leave the zone assigned by the ordinance. So it takes at least three weeks, once you enter the red or orange zone, to jump back and change color.

Regions in motion: the situation

According to this moment, we continue reading Today., Lombardy, Calabria, Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta – all in the red zone since November 6 – could “leave” as of November 27, as well as Puglia and Sicily from the orange zone. Other orange regions like Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria and Umbria could improve as of December 4, like the “red” Bolzano (the ordinances are dated November 11). Tuscany and Campania, red from November 15, could change from December 11, as well as the orange Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Marche.
