The economic-financial police unit of the financial police of Macerata has seized in two shops, both run by Chinese, one in the interior of Macerata and the other on the coast, some 300 thousand masks, of the type “FFp2”, “surgical “and so-called” generic “, without the prescribed compliance requirements.

The financiers carried out a series of controls in various commercial establishments in the province, in order to verify compliance with the legislation on product safety, an activity aimed at protecting the health of consumers and economic operators that operate in compliance with the regulations. . Through constant economic control of the territory, the yellow flames have verified that in the two activities products were retained, destined for sale, without the minimum indications imposed by the legislation on product safety. At the entrance, numerous masks of different types were found: “surgical”, the so-called “generic” and personal protection equipment of the “FFp2” type. These were displayed for sale to customers and stored in numerous boxes within the storage rooms. During the interventions, the military found, in all types of masks found, various irregularities attributable both to the placement of the CE marking and to the absence of clear and legible indications and warnings, expressly provided for by the regulations of the sector. The devices in breach were seized and those responsible were reported to the Chamber of Commerce and the local Prefecture, for the adoption of the respective competition provisions. Further investigations are being carried out to identify any irregularities also from a tax point of view.
