There are a total of four victims caused by the new coronavirus today (November 15) in our region. All admitted to the Infectious Diseases ward.
This morning the rumor of the death of an 86-year-old lady from Petacciato, expired in one of the beds intended for Covid patients within the Cardarelli hospital in Campobasso.
The lady who passed away today also needed medical attention after contracting the new coronavirus infection. She had been hospitalized for a few days in the hospital in the capital, but could not overcome the pneumonia caused by the virus, which is proving more lethal in this second wave. Then the lady died, as is happening to dozens of elderly people in our region.
His death was joined by that of three other covid patients, officially communicated by the regional health authority. A 72-year-old woman from Campobasso, an 86-year-old from Colle Sannita and a 91-year-old citizen from Cercemaggiore lost the battle against the virus.
Yesterday (November 14) the heart stopped beating of a 95-year-old woman from Isernia, who also died in the Infectious Diseases ward of Cardarelli hospital.
Therefore, the tragic thread of mourning and death that is characterizing the last weeks of the pandemic also in our region, where the deaths of patients with Sars-Cov-2 infection have increased notably and are advancing at a rate of more than two deaths per day.
Only in this week that is about to close, the victims have been up to 16, while the previous week had been 11. In what is defined in the second wave, deaths reach 45.
