Bad adventure this morning, November 15, for a child who was about to be ‘swallowed’ by mud. He tripped over a muddy area during a walk on the Guardialfiera lake taking advantage of the beautiful sunny day. At a certain point, probably after getting a little closer to the banks of the reservoir that seems quite dry in this period, the young man felt that he was beginning to sink, as if he had quicksand under his feet. And he couldn’t get out of the mud and get away from that area.
They were moments of great fear and emotion, as they arrived at the place two fire teams (one from Campobasso and one from Termoli) and Carabinieri.
His intervention was providential: the young man began to fear for his life in that ‘trap’ of sand and earth in which he had ended up. Firefighters managed to get him out of the mud where he had been sucked by the mud down to the trunk. Fortunately, it is just an episode to forget as soon as possible: the boy is fine and there have been no consequences for his health.
