Allowing Umbrians to travel in the areas of the Perugia and Terni provinces rather than limiting them within individual municipalities. This is the call of the President of the Legislative Assembly, Marco Squarta, for all the political forces in Umbria to ask the government for the possibility that the citizens of our region move in a less restrictive way, not only for labor, health, etc. emergency or accompanying children to school, thus avoiding the desertification of entire territories and therefore the annihilation of thousands of commercial activities based on small territorial realities.

“After the last ordinance signed by the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, Umbria is in the orange zone But the characteristics of our region are very different from those of other large urban centers and metropolises in our country, ”explained the representative of the Brothers of Italy. Refreshments and aid should not be reserved only for entrepreneurial realities that are in the red zone because, in retrospect, with the impossibility of citizens moving from one municipality to another, thousands of companies in our region fall within the range with the level of High risk, although they were not obliged to lower the shutters, they suffered serious damage due to the impossibility of movement of citizens. If the situation continues like this, the government will at least grant relief to businessmen who in the orange zone have suffered considerable losses in turnover ”.

Therefore, Squarta urges a unified proposal to the national executive, coming from all the political forces in Umbria, so this type of municipal ban is reviewed, allowing movements within the province and in some way facilitating movements for economic reasons.
“The stores remained open but this, on closer inspection, did not turn out to be good news since in small companies it means being able to depend exclusively on local customers,” continued the president of the regional council. Our merchants had to abandon from the beginning the idea of welcoming potential buyers in their stores that have their residence in the country a few hundred meters away. Umbria is a small region with a socio-economic fabric characterized by the existence of small realities. they have been closed by decree, they are suffering a double injustice because they do not get relief from the State and, in fact, they are heavily penalized by the travel bans ”.

For the president he recalled that in Umbria thousands of entrepreneurs suffer the immediate drama linked to the contraction of consumption, which unfortunately often reduces their income to zero, and they are terrified by a future that has never been so difficult.
