Covid and school, detection continues with quick swabs: 125 positives out of 2268

One positive quick swab every 18. The ASP today carried out a total of 2,268 tests that have found another 125 positive ones among students (with their families), teachers and school personnel. The samples were taken in the campaigns installed at the Fiera del Mediterraneo, in Palermo, and in the municipalities of Bagheria, Termini and Castelbuono.

The initiative is part of the Sicilian Region’s active campaign for the investigation of Coronavirus through the use of quick swabs. All 125 positive rapid tests, as required by health protocols, were subjected to molecular swabbing. Here are the numbers in detail: Fiera del Mediterraneo (1,218 swabs and 87 positives); Bagheria (428, 26); Termini Imerese (307, 1) and Castelbuono (315, 11).

Since the beginning of the popular screening (October 30) until today in Palermo, a total of 18,695 rapid swabs and 1,425 positive swabs have been performed. These are the times and places of the projection for tomorrow, Sunday, November 15: Bagheria, from 10:00 to 16:00, in the area in front of the Aspra sports field; Termini Imerese, from 10:00 to 16:00, old fish market; Castelbuono 10-16, via Mazzini (opposite the sports field); Mediterranean Fair: 9am to 2pm (last entry by car at 12pm).

The activity is aimed at the school world and in particular at teaching and non-teaching staff, secondary school students (and their families). To optimize and streamline operations, users are asked to present, in addition to their health card and identification document, also the printed, completed and signed informed consent sheet.
