Yes to sports and Sunday walks along the promenade, respecting the requirements, but meetings and groups are prohibited. With the aim of avoiding spaces for meetings of people, the mayor Andrea Gnassi signed this afternoon a contingent and urgent ordinance that regulates the use of a section of the south promenade, the most frequently frequented, for the days of Sunday 15, Sunday 22. and Sunday, November 29. Specifically, the ordinance states that these days it will be possible to use the sidewalks on the mountainside and on the sea side of Rimini promenades on the stretch between Piazzale Boscovich and Piazzale Gondar, but only dynamically, for example for running, jogging, walking, with absolute prohibition of stopping and parking and any form of assembly. The same prohibition also applies to the dock of the port, which is the “shovel”. Therefore, according to the latest ordinance of the President of the Emilia Romagna Region, the use of the promenades for sports and motor activities is allowed (in the modalities regulated by the Dpcm of November 3), as well as access to the beach and public and commercial establishments that can be opened.
“We ask citizens for an additional effort – says Mayor Andrea Gnassi – especially since we are going to intervene in a habit that is part of our identity in Rimini. I realize that feeling limited in your personal freedoms can be a burden, especially in a difficult period like the one we are going through. Today, however, there are no shortcuts and once again a small individual and collective sacrifice is needed. We must all contribute with our behavior and with our daily actions to stop the virus, prevent the collapse of our health system, safeguard health but also schools and businesses ”.
