The measures were developed at the proposal of the Liguria Region and with the coordination of the Chamber of Commerce of Genoa, the collaboration of the Municipality of Genoa, ASCOM, Confesercenti, Large Distribution. The project provides a discount for people over 65 Monday to Friday thus divided.
SUPERMARKETS. In the time slot 13/16, all Ligurian Basko supermarkets and the discount stores Ekom (of the same group) and Conad in Liguria apply a 10% discount in the fruit and vegetables and bread departments.
FRUITS AND FRUITS. Likewise, all regional fruit and vegetable neighborhood stores apply a 5% discount (those who join the initiative will have the ‘Discounts and Security from 65 years’).
NEIGHBORHOOD MARKETS. In the hours 9 – 11, always from Monday to Friday, the covered local markets of Genoa for all food products will apply a discount of at least 5%. The Genoa City Council makes available to older people who buy at least 20 euros of spending in these protected areas, a free parking ticket for one hour. Tickets will be delivered to merchants participating in the initiative (participating counters will display the corresponding membership mark with the phrase ‘Discounts and security from 65 years old’).
BOLZANETO VEGETABLE MARKET. In addition, the Bolzaneto wholesale fruit and vegetable market foresees that only those over 65 can enter between 10 and 11 in the morning.
