Reconstruction of the facts
The man walked out onto the public highway and, after dousing himself with gasoline, dropped a lighter to the ground and was quickly engulfed in flames: the timely intervention of firefighters and 118 health workers was useless; The 77-year-old man died instantly from severe burns. As it became known, the victim, who was left alone after the death of his wife, had already tried to kill himself on another occasion: today, unfortunately, he managed to put his attempt into practice.
Fire on a bus in Rho, destroyed by fire
Firefighters also intervened on October 27, in Rho, due to a sudden fire aboard a bus. Fortunately, however, no one was injured on that occasion, thanks also to the reflections of the bus driver who, noticing the start of a fire at the rear of the vehicle, promptly made all the passengers alight before attempting to turn off the fire. A mission that did not lead to the pre-set objective and that was achieved by the firefighters who intervened with different vehicles. Firefighters, after securing the area and extinguishing the flames, began investigations to establish the causes of the fire. Probably, from what was leaked, it could be due to a short in the vehicle’s electronic system.
