HEALTH – The Castelli Budget Councilor explains how the City Council has decided to opt for other paths than in the past
They have not seen the sunrise and the only hospitals in Marche are already at sunset. The new regional council has decided to stop this type of structure with the deactivation of the individual hospital plan. Budget Councilor Guido Castelli underlines: “The no to individual hospitals in the Marches was a choice shared by the entire council chaired by President Francesco Acquaroli, which last week began the approval process of the new social and health plan. The end of project financing represented a well-considered decision that matured after a constant and in-depth discussion with the territories. The strategy foresees an accurate analysis of the needs and a necessary review of the options in the hospital network carried out by the previous council, with the utmost attention not to deprive the territories, but with the firm will to strengthen the services. In particular, with regard to the province of Ascoli, the two garrisons of Ascoli and San Benedetto will be maintained, promoting – with a strategic focus – those integration routes capable of improving the activities of the two structures. We will also work to give what is a vast border area the necessary tools in terms of resources and personnel to work better, overcoming that marginal condition in which it has been for too long.
