Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte listened to Emergency founder Gino Strada. This is confirmed by sources from Palazzo Chigi. The name Gino Strada was proposed by members of the 5-Star Movement and by the Sardines for Health in Calabria, after the case that arose around the appointment of Giuseppe Zuccatelli as regional health commissioner.

As far as we know, the phone call between Conte and Strada took place last weekend. Saverio Cotticelli resigned as Calabrian health commissioner last Saturday. The Council of Ministers appointed Giuseppe Zuccatelli in his place on Saturday night who, according to some sources, could have the support of the founder of Emercency.

The figure of the street will not be limited to the sole management of the health plan in Calabria, where Giuseppe Zuccatelli should also remain in the role of extraordinary commissioner. Instead, Strada would have a broader operational role.

Deputy Minister Pierpaolo Sileri also spoke about Strada: “Gino Strada is certainly a hypothesis for the Health Commissioner in Calabria. He is an exceptional colleague and everything he has done is unrepeatable, an example of Italy in the world. But now I think the controversy is not necessary, let Zuccatelli work ”.
