This was announced by the Lieutenant Governor with responsibility for Health, Riccardo Riccardi.
Unfortunately, today there are a record number of deaths since the start of the pandemic. The highest figure so far was recorded on April 20, with 14 deaths.
The current cases of infection are 7,950. The number of patients in intensive care treatment has increased to 47 and 336 hospitalized in other departments. The deaths amounted to 476, with the following territorial subdivision: 236 in Trieste, 120 in Udine, 107 in Pordenone and 13 in Gorizia.
The people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to a total of 15,530, of which: 4,669 in Trieste, 6,180 in Udine, 2,855 in Pordenone and 1,637 in Gorizia, in addition to 189 people from outside the region.
The totally cured are 7,104, the clinically cured 109 and the isolated 7,458.
Regarding the new positivity to the virus, in the sector of nursing homes 10 cases of people housed in regional structures were detected, while there are a total of 7 infected health workers.
In front of the Regional health system (Ssr) the positivity for Covid of eleven nurses, an administrative assistant, an assistant, two technicians, a health manager, two Oss to be registered with the health authority of the Friuli Centrale university four nurses, an administrative assistant and an Oss in the health agency of Friuli Occidentale; four nurses, two doctors, an Oss, an administrative collaborator and an assistant in the Giuliano Isontina university health company.
Relative to schools the following infections are detected: a student at Oberdan secondary school in Trieste, a student at Marconi primary school in San Vito al Tagliamento, a student at Grigoletti primary school in Pordenone, a teacher at the Sarpi Institute in San Vito al Tagliamento, a student from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, two students from Aviano Secondary School and one student from Staranzano Secondary School.
Finally, two people who returned from abroad (Australia and Albania) should be positive for the virus.
