Four other regions could soon find themselves in a higher risk area. This was announced this morning, at a press conference, by the president of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Silvio Brusaferro, and the president of the Superior Health Council, Franco Locatelli.

“Based on the latest monitoring, there are four regions that are heading towards high risk and in which it is convenient to anticipate the most restrictive measures,” said the two scientists, both on the Scientific Technical Committee. After the five arranged yesterday – Abruzzo, Umbria, Basilicata, Liguria and Tuscany went from the yellow zone to the orange one – another four bands and color changes are approaching. According to HuffPost, the stakeholders are: Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna and Veneto.

Currently in the yellow zone they could go to orange or even go directly to the red zone. For the four, in fact, the global risk classification defined in the synthetic framework prepared yesterday by the control room of theHigher Institute of Healthto and the Ministry of Health, based on the data sent by the Regions, is “moderate with high probability of progression to high risk” and they are located in scenario 4, characterized by an Rt greater than 1.5. In particular, Emilia – Romagna, Campania and Veneto have an Rt index of 1.57, while in Friuli Venezia Giulia the transmission index is 1.6.
