L ‘Abruzzo changes from Yellow Region to Region orange due to the risk of the Coronavirus emergency. This was decided by Minister Speranza at the end of the meeting with the control room to establish which regions need more restrictions under the government’s dpcm, which introduced the classification based on the epidemiological situation of each individual territory.

Among the most important restrictions that will take effect from Wednesday, November 11, are travel restrictions. Obviously, the national curfew remains in force, avoiding unnecessary and unfounded displacements for reasons of necessity, health and work from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

In addition, the orange zone includes:

  • the prohibition to leave one’s own Region
  • the prohibition to leave one’s own municipality

To be able to circulate, it is necessary to have a proven work reason, for health reasons or by necessity exactly as happened for the first confinement, in addition to being able to move outside of your municipality due to the movements of your children who attend schools with presence in the classroom . A self-certification must be submitted, the form of which, in any case, will also be available to the police during the control. However, within the municipality of residence or domicile, the movements must not be justified.

The bars and restaurants close to the public seven days a week. It is possible to take the place until 10 pm, allowed in the time necessary for collection and avoid meetings.

Shopping centers are closed on holidays and before holidays except for pharmacies, parapharmacies, food outlets, tobacconists and kiosks inside. Exhibitions and museums closed, while distance education is compulsory only for secondary schools (provision already in force in Abruzzo). Public transport capacity drops to 50%, suspension of gambling halls, betting rooms, bingo halls and slot machines even in bars and tobacconists. All activities already suspended until November 11 remain closed.
