WASHINGTON – Donald trump would already be thinking of running again in the Republican primaries of 2024, in an attempt to return to the White House with the next election.

The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution establishes the two-term limit for each president. The rule, ratified in 1951, was intended to prevent a leader from remaining in power for a long period, as had just happened with Franklin Delano Roosevelt, winner of four consecutive elections, from 1933 to 1945.
