In the eyes of Italy these images would be enough to motivate a red zone beyond the hospital and the health data; the repetition of indecent statements by people who have not lifted a finger this year to exercise the slightest action against Covid; and impromptu statements from some scientific “consultant” who continues to outsource freely. ‘
«All of these episodes, De Luca’s attacks, absolutely require a real operation at all levels. Being the only one who has assumed the responsibility of requesting for months, in disagreement with the government, rigorous and unitary national measures for the preventive containment of the infection, I now ask the Minister of Health for a comparison of merit and public on the objective data. Campania health system, as part of a general and unavoidable verification of data from all regions of Italy. Absolute transparency is essential. We have nothing to hide or mitigate. I think it is in the common interest not to tolerate gray areas and to clearly verify the reality of hospitals, intensive care, hospitalizations, the death rate, the staff. All this, also out of respect for the immense work done by our healthcare staff, which has made Campania the region with the lowest mortality from Covid in Italy. This work cannot be degraded neither by media attacks nor by examples of irresponsibility, which must receive harsh responses to protect the lives of our fellow citizens ”.
