The president of the autonomous province of Bolzano Arno Kompatscher has signed a new ordinance that, as of midnight on Monday, November 9, extends the more restrictive regulations applied to some municipalities with local sources to the entire territory of the autonomous province. “It no longer made sense to add new towns and cities every day – explains Kompatscher – it seems more reasonable to have a single provision, valid for the entire Alto Adige”, with rules very similar to those of a “red zone”.
The ordinance, which will be in effect until November 22, provides for the closure of bars, restaurants (only takeout and home delivery are allowed) and most other businesses, including personal services, with the ‘Exclusion of laundries and funeral homes. Pharmacies, drug stores, kiosks and tobacconists may remain open seven days a week, while food stores may open from Monday to Saturday, with the obligation to close on Sundays.
In the province of Bolzano there will be a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. You cannot move us from your home except for work, health and necessity reasons. During the day it will be possible to move within the province and within individual municipalities solely for reasons of work, study, health and other documented needs, including purchases in shops not present in their municipality of residence, the care of family members who need assistance and visits to your partner or your partner who does not cohabit. The movements must be motivated by a specific self-certification.
Sports activity may be carried out exclusively outdoors and individually (except for athletes and teams that participate in national and international events), while motor activity will only be allowed in the vicinity of the home, respecting the distance of at least one meter between people and with the obligation to wear a mask.
As of Monday, after a week of vacation due to the All Saints holidays, schools have been reopened, in presence for children, for primary schools and for the first class of middle school. For students over 6 years old, the use of a mask is mandatory. On the other hand, 100% distance learning is foreseen for secondary and third cycle secondary schools, for all institutes, for vocational training and for the University.
