The campaign to monitor the coronavirus in the population, promoted by the Region, extends to Sicily. Over the weekend, there were a total of thirty cities on the island (with more than thirty thousand inhabitants) where drive-ins with quick swabs were set up to search for the virus.
As foreseen by the Regional Department of Health, at the suggestion of the Scientific Technical Committee.
As is known, the target is that of the school population (teachers, non-teachers, students and their parents). From a survey not yet definitive, some thirty thousand tests were carried out on the same number of citizens, of which about 800 positive for Covid-19 who will now be subjected to molecular swab.
The experience, according to the will of the Musumeci government, will continue in the coming weeks. The initiative is promoted by the Region with the Asp and in collaboration with Anci Sicilia and local administrations.
